March 26, 2010, Newsletter Issue #77: Personal Blogging on Social Networks

Tip of the Week

Keeping up a personal blog can provide you with ways to expand your social network such as on Myspace. However, you can use a forum/message boards and submit a post.

It does not take a long time and the post can be short (under 500 words). You can even use a post used on your personal blog. For example, if you blog about classic automobiles and your social network is about automobiles in general, you can post about classic cars and the post will show your user name/member name under your profile on the social network.

This provides credibility since it can become a featured post and people tend to remember highlighted posts. You may want to do this once a quarter. You will not get paid but the exposure is great and you may build loyal readers for your personal blog.
